Circle of Security Parenting
This parenting approach offers relationship tools to help you understand your child’s needs. It aims to create lasting security for them, and a feeling of satisfaction for parents that they’re doing the best they can for their children.

The Circle of Security
COS-P is an 8-session program, parents and carers are encouraged to look beyond their children’s behaviour and identify and respond to what the child’s behaviour is saying. Through this course, parents and carers will gain a new understanding of how they can strengthen their relationship with their children.
The Cos-P model will help parents and carers will:
-
understand their child's emotional world by learning to read their emotional needs
-
learn to support their child's ability to successfully manage emotions
-
enhance the development of a child's self-esteem
-
honour the innate wisdom and desire for a child to be secure.
This programs help children experience:
-
Greater self-esteem
-
Better relationships with parents and peers
-
Enhanced school readiness
-
An increased capacity to handle emotions.
